If the '06 is all you've got, I'd consider using a heavier bullet of heavy construction.  You're gonna be doing some tracking, but if you don't want to chop a dog in 1/2, I think you're better off punching a pencil hole clean through.  Regardless, I'd hone up on my sewing skills.
