well ive narrowed it down to these 2 cans. my buying thoughts are 1 can for multiple guns and calibers. whats ur thought on these two.
heres specs on the 2 im torn between getting.

Thunderbeast Ultra 5"
5" Long
9.4 oz.
Final db.
308 144 db
300Blkout 134 db

Silencerco Omega
7" Long
14.0 oz
Final db.
308 134 db
300Blkout 119 db

thunderbeast is def. short and light but not very quiet.
Omega is def. queit but heavier and 2" longer
medical study said, "to the human ear a 10 db difference would equate to a sound sounding twice as loud. so 10db=2x the noise. 20db=4x the noise. thunderbeast is not full auto rated. they said one 30 round mag dump is the most u can shoot b4 it needs to cool. anything over that and it is succeptable to falling apart.
omega is full auto rated. the omega is actually 6" if u change the end cap for the flush model

Uh ya! why not the ultra 7

the ultra 7 is a very good choice also. i have several friends that own suppressors and i asked them what they would like to have differnetly. all said shorter and lighter. but i do realize that there is a point that going shorter and lighter will cause you to sacrifice a lot in decibel reduction rating. the Omega has an excellent reduction rating but it is an inch longer than the Ultra 5 but it is an inch shorter than the ultra 7 it is slightly heavier than the ultra 5 but I'm thinking the sound reduction rating is worth that extra inch, but it's not worth an extra 2 inches that the ultra 7 has. like the majority of us the main reason I am buying a suppressor is to reduce the noise level but I don't want a 10 pound 3 foot suppressor hanging on the end either. I do know that you can only suppress the sound so much. you're still going to have the sonic crack.
Ive actually also considered the SAS Reaper. another lightweight, but still at 7" long. honestly they are all really good choices, im just trying to find a good middle ground between length, weight, and sound reduction.
Although i havent mentioned it the most important factor is first round accuracy. This will be a can strictly for hunting and target shooting. No spray and pray here

What host weapons are you going to use them on?
bolts, AR's Cal"s?
I don't want to make a rec with out all the intell.

SAS Reaper hands down... 300 WM rated, 10oz, 7", absolute repeatability, minimal if any POI shift, great accuracy and db reduction. Add the TOMB system and it will work well with everything you have. I have access to anything SAS has and my hunting guns ALWAYS wear a Reaper!

I'll second Kino, But up you to a Resistor, SAS developed it to eliminate back pressure of a AR's, and blowback in your face. Plus it is rated for up to a 300WM so if or should i say when your weapons change you'll be cover.
12.4oz, 8", 1.5" dia, 35 DB milspec testing standards, absolute repeatability, minimal to zero POI shift, great accuracy.
Also the 5" ultra is not rated for shooting with out ear pro according to OSCHA standards.
It would be better then nothing for hunting but not for range use.

If I could only choose one I would go with the beast!

Your not the only one.

I have never had a problem with blow back on any of my beast cans or any other even on my SBR's.

Although I will add, all my AR's are tuned to run with what ever can it is matched up with.
