There's something screwey going on with those stock rings you have.  I've mounted scopes on over 30-40 Tikka's in the past year alone and they're the easiest scope ring to mount a scope on.  Usually takes me only a few clicks in elevation to get the boresighter on. 


Even though they're aluminum, they've held up for the entire time. From everything up to 300WSM's and 7mm Rem Mag's.  I have buddies that shoot the 300 and 7mm's in the Tikka with stock rings.
