Tikka T3 hunter

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with a T3 walnut hunter in 243 or 223? I'm thinking of buying one for a coyote/deer/ground hog rifle. I have a friend who owns a T3 lite in 300WSM, he loves it, and from what I have read about the Tikka's so far they seem to be worth the money.

I am a licensed gun dealer and am extremely found of TIKKA no matter what model. I have recent experience with a T3 blued/synthetic rifle in .338 Win Mag and it shoots exceptionally well. I have numerous friends that own TIKKA's from .223 to .338 and all of them rave about them. I know one thing is for sure they have buttery-smooth actions, and all are shooters, escpecially for the dollar.

I have a .223 T-3 Hunter and a stainless camo in a 25-06.Both are great shooters.I used the Talley lightweights instead of the factory rings and both have Bushnell Elite-4200 scopes.Tikkas will not disappoint you.Very smooth action and great value for price.

My views on Tikka rifles...

Lets put it this way. With the exceptions of my custom built mausers and switch barrel savages, I am slowly replacing most of the calibers in my safes with Tikka T-3s. The ones I own now, a T-3 Big Boar in .30-06, and T-3 Lites in .22-250, .243, .25-06, and .270 are all SUB MOA shooters when I do my part. The actions are smooth as glass and triggers that are almost as good as some of the Jewell triggers I have used in the past. I also love the detachable mags for quick loading/unloading.

FOr the money, you cant go wrong with the Tikka rifles..even the older 695 and 698s are fine rifles.

I shot this group today with the Tikka 223 Walnut Whitetail Hunter LH. I was using the Hornady 53 gr Match HP with 25.6 gr of H335 and BR-4 Primers. I had a good group going but pulled the third shot out, which was my screw up. You don't have to worry about the Tikka Whitetail they will shoot if you do your part. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

bea175 Don't you just hate those hits like number 3. Boy more good groups go away like that. But this is where a 5 shoot group really lets you know what you and your rifle are doing. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

I would have had the same size group even if it had been a three shot, because it was number three i pulled out. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif

The tikka never ceases to amaze me how well they shoot for a sporter weight gun. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

Tim I can't tell you about 223 or 243 but....
My 25-06 with 110 accubonds will do just a little bigger than bea's .....at 200!!!

I picked up the lite camo in 22-250 for a 'yote wacker and with 55 ballistic tips I have got to about 1 1/2 at 200 and know I can get tighter just by tweeking a little more.

Like ruger, I did not use the factory rings, I went with Burris Signatures. The 25-06 sports a Nikon Monarch 5.5-16 and the camo has a 6-24 Burris Signature!

To me, they are AWESOME!!!! A buddy of mine has decided, after shooting mine, that he will be getting some of his own.

The accuracy of the tikka t3 lite .223 i have amazes me everytime i shoot it. It doesnt matter what ammo i am putting down the barrel. I have shot 5 different manufactures and 7 different weights and all have the same effect. less than 1" at 100 yards. But what really impressed me ws yesterday we were doing some long range target practice.(250 + yards). I shot three different bullets.55 grain winchester balistic silver tips, 55 grain federal premium v shox, and 55 grain wolf hollow points.
All three were less than 1 1/2" at 250 yards. I have never been able to do that with any gun so i know its not me. This gun is so easy to shoot well its not even funny.
