Tikka T3 Lite Scope Mount

Anyone used Warne Weaver style bases and Leupold PRW Rings on their Tikka? I used that combo on another rifle and liked how rock solid they were.

EGW makes a picatinny rail for them. 2 versions and choice of straight or 20 degee in each.

Weaver #61 bases will also work and Burris also makes a two piece mount.

I have used Warne and Burris rings on the #61 bases with no issues.

Considering going with a rail myself but the rings that come with them seem to work fine for me but mine are smaller calibers.

I just bought a Tikka T3 and I am using the rings that came with it despite hearing that they aren't very good. I figure I will at least try them before dropping some coin on a new set.

after owning many Tikka rifles I have had zero problems with the factory scope rings. Some report screws stripping, this may be simply overtightening or poor screws. So some have replaced the screws in the mount.

Are those of you using the Talley's using the Lightweight Alloy Scope mounts that they make? Thank you for the replies.

Yes, I am. And I'm pretty sure anyone saying they use Talley's with a Tikka T3 is talking about the Lightweights. Cheap and easy, and an upgrade to the factory rings IMO.

Do you have to undo the rings to take them (bases and lower part of rings) off the rifle? In other words, everything has to come apart, if you want to take the scope off the rifle?

With the talley LW, the top half of the ring would come off to remove scope. The bases are screwed to the receiver separately. If your're looking to remove the scope with rings attached, you'd need to look at using different rings.

If you want to remove the scope more easily, the warne tikka rings might be the way to go. Looks like midway has them on sale. I've used warne maxima rings and like them fine.
