Tikka T3 lite vs T3 lite synthetic

i took your advice and checked out the Tikkas, they look very cool and it looks like one can be had for not much more than the savage so i think i'm going to run with that. i love beretta products, i have three and can't say enough good about them, but beretta's site blows bigtime. it would really go a long way if they would include a little bit more content and specifications about their guns, just seems now that the lack of content is meant to hide something. they list both a T3 lite and T3 lite synthetic separately at different prices, what is the difference between the two? they both have synthetic stocks right? same twist? same barrel? Folks can't say enough good things about the savage barrel and trigger design, are the sames qualities present in the Tikka?
thanks for the info guys, you are always so helpful.

Tikka is made my Sako and imported into the US by Beretta. The Tikka's are very good shooting rifles and garuntee MOA out of the box. The Tikka trigger is very nice and if you ask me, they are nicer then the Savage Accu-trigger. I had mine adjusted down to two pounds in abbout 5 minutes.

Falfire has it right there in front of you, in the Lite line there are only 2.

One is stainless, the other is blued. Both on the same synthetic stock. They do make a plain T3 but its a woody model.

Great rifle, good choice /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

ok, thats definitly not what is on Beretta's site. thanks for the links and the info guys, these look like killer rifles right out of the box. i like the stainless one. does the plastic trigger guard pose any sort of a problem?

i love what i'm finding out about these Tikka's. ordering a lite stainless tomorrow fo sho. would like to understand the availabe triggers, what is the difference between a single-set trigger and a single-stage trigger? thanks again for all the great info and for turning me onto such a good savage alternative with a removable cli...magazine:)

The "Set trigger" is a "Target trigger". you still have your standard pull trigger but also have the ability to "Set" the trigger by pushing it forward. When the trigger is in this position it does not take more then a hard wish to fire. There are a few menufatures that are offering this on a veriety of rifles. CZ and Tikka are two that come to mind right now.
My Tikka only has the Standard trigger which can be set down as low as 1.5lbs pull or as high as 4lbs. I have it set at around 2lbs. Hope this helps.

The manual for my Tikka T-3 Hunter said the trigger was only adjustable from a 2-4 pounds and I just looked it up at Tikka and it says the same Here
