Tikka T3?

Been looking at getting a Tikka recently. Local gun shop has a Tikka T3 Lite in 22-250 for $433. Is that a pretty reasonable price? Seems like a good deal from what I can tell.

This doesn't seem to be the T3x model though as is it is listed as just the T3. Am I losing much by not going with the X?
 
That's a decent price without the x features. I compare the cost plus adding any x features I would want.
For example if I wanted to add the steel recoil lug and the recoil pad.
 
I tend to agree with tripod3, yes that does sound good, but sometimes by the time you add the extras the price point doesn't look so good anymore.

I found a similar deal... I already own one and I like it so much that I bought another to chop and suppress. You won't be sorry, they're great shooters.
 
Forgot to send a pic to my tikka 243. I didn't cut the barrel just had it threaded and it works great. Love the rifle

 
That is the best price I have heard for the T3. I just picked up a T3X (.270 stainless), MSRP was $749 but I picked it up for $665 due to Veterans Day Sale. All T3's around me are on sale for $499 as they try to make room for the T3X's, so $433 looks to be a great deal. As mentioned, just add up any extras (if wanted) to see how you come out.

I would guess the dealer got in on the Tikka buy so many and get one free deal, thats why he can sale it cheaper, seen it happen many times.
 
Also, was reading on a different post on a different forum and a lot of guys were recommending the Ruger American Predator
over the Tikka T3?

Whats the opinion here?
 
I have a Tikka t3 lite stainless in 22-250 i used the rings that came with it and i have leupold vx3 3.5 x 10 mounted on it. I havnt had to adjust that scope since i got it zeroed, the rings are good in my opinion.

Its been finicky on ammo i dont re-load it shoots the cheap Remington 45gr jacketed hollow points the best. They kill coyotes just fine. never had to shoot a coyote twice with that round.

good luck the tikka is a good gun for the money.

The Tikka rings aren't the prettiest or the fanciest, but they served the purpose just fine for me for a couple of months. I replaced them with Talleys and the results weren't one bit better.
