Tikka T3x value??

Yup. That's why I still don't have a bolt action 223 or 22-250. Prices are crazy and people aren't far behind on the crazy-meter.

Mine is almost new. Less than 100 rounds through it and its an accurate rifle and I like it a lot. But if someone wants it for that price, I'd sure let them have it.

Depends on the model, is it CM or SS and what it's chambered in.

Bought a new Tikka Superlite in 300 WSM from Sportsman's Warehouse just before Christmas for $700. Didn't necessarily need it but they were on sale and thought it was a pretty good price. Told a family member about the sale and they bought the exact same gun but in 270 Win.

Last fall bought a nearly new Tikka compact 204 from a member here for hundreds less than 850 and it came with a couple extras even but with the way things are now I wouldn't take $850 for either one of mine.

Is it by chance one of the Tikka 8tw 22-250's they briefly made? If it is could you PM me where it's at.

I bought the Sportsmans Warehouse edition Tika T-3 Ultralight 6.5 Creedmoor stainless a few years ago for 700 or so. They are now 849. No way I would sell mine. It's a shooter for sure. It shoots as good as my 2000-dollar Kimber. Biden's inflation doesn't have any boundaries.

Mine really isn't for sale but at that price it could be. Old saying...When two fools meet. One for offering and the other for not taking it. Its not like they quit making Tikka's, another will come along.

Certain models in certain chamberings are much harder to find/come by than are others which can dictate price, law of supply and demand. Tikka didn't make 22-250's with 8tw barrels very long it was kind of a small run of those they made and you rarely see them so naturally that kind of stuff can command a higher price.

Tikka has a pretty good reputation of their off the shelf guns shooting well right out of the box and they've become even more popular for semi custom builds because you can get a variety of pre fit barrels for them as well as the aftermarket list of parts keeps getting better for them all the time.

I bought one of the Whittaker Specials several years ago. It's a stainless T3 in a synthetic stock with the 8" twist barrel. IIRC, I payed $625 for it, and it came with a padded Tikka zipper gun case and an extra magazine. The gun case and the extra magazine were a bonus for paying for it in one lump sum versus paying for it in monthly installments while the guns were being built. From order day to delivery was about 4 months. Those of us who paid in one lump sum got our rifles first.

I played with it awhile shooting paper at various distances with some heavy for caliber bullets, and I saw nothing that got me excited like I was supposed to get. So, it went into a gun safe and I went back to the 52-55 grain bullets in the older more normal 12"-14" twist 22-250's that makes the 22-250 cartridge shine brightest as a varmint cartridge.

I do own a Bergara B-14 Ridge 9" twist 22-250 that loves the 52-55 grain bullets. It gets far more action at my house than the 8" twist Tikka does. For not a lot more $$ than what the Tikka cost me.

I thought about saying the same thing but I don't need a 22.250. But I love my Tika.

Thanks for the thought.... But no thanks.

Just because I have it doesn't mean that it's for sale at a bargain basement price.

One of the stores in Tulsa gets a Tikka rimfires in once in a while but anything center fire is next to impossible to get. After some on line looking, even the places that sell Tikka's regularly, are out of stock. That in its self probably has a lot to do with the rising cost along with the quality that follows Tikka rifles. I guess if you want one your going to have to pay the price or wait until they start coming back to the states again.

I was in Houston several weeks ago and I ran by a large gun shop there. They had probably a dozen Tikka rifles in stock. IIRC, 25-06 was the smallest bore diameter cartridge. The models ran from black synthetic stock/blue metal to some higher priced camo and stainless models. Price range was from about $750 up to the $1200-$1300 range. No small varmint calibers.

At a local store today and they had a T3x in 308 Win. It was in a winter camo stock and the barrel was coated really light in color and had a break on it. All factory as it was NIB. Had it priced a little over $1100 IIRC. It was a nice looking rifle and the action was as smooth as a babies butt.

I did a search, its a T3x Lite Veil Alpine. Nice looking rifle!

Completely depends on model and configuration. A wood stocked T3X hunter in .25-06 will bring more money than a Sythetic stocked T3 in .30-06.

I generally pay between $500 and $750 for the ones I buy used and that is completely dependent on caliber, configuration and of course condition.

I personally would pay more than that unless its a Varmint or CTR model which always command more.

You can regularly find them new for about $700-$750 for a stainless one. I overpaid for one more than I normally would about a year ago because I wanted a T3X Stainless in 6.5 and someone on here had one listed for a while.

It is funny cause you look on gunbroker and a regular old blued T3 that is older model will be listed at $800+ like they think its a rarity. Truth be told, i think when shops buy those and Sako's, they dont really know what model they are looking at so they guess and pick one out of the Gun Values book. Got a steal on a model 75 Classic at a local store cause they though it was a AV. Same thing with a 75 Hunter on Gunbroker.
