I installed a timney trigger a year ago.   I have had no issues till yesterday.  In the cold the rifle slam fires.  If i bring it in and it warms up it functions like it should.  I checked the trigger pull and it seems about 8 ounces lighter then i remember setting it.  I broke it down today and did the what the instructions indicated from timney.  I turned the sear clock wise till it tripped and backed it off 1/6 of a turn and then set the pound screw to 2.5 lbs.  I reassembled the gun and it continued to slam fire.  So i backed out sear more then the instructed 1/6 turn.  I then noticed the pounds had increased by 6 oz.  So i readjusted pounds and rifle will now not slam fire.  My question is,  is backing out the sear screw a issue if its more than 1/6 turn?   Its a savage 111 and it previously had a accu trigger installed.
