youl get the best advice and best practical knowlege about trapping from the animals themselves.......if you want hands on true knowlege do it look up your state asociations and get to know those people. the internet has good advice but many times you sort thru the pile of crap to find somethign of use.
i suggest ANYONE who wants to learn to trap or advance themselves to get out and do it. conventions etc are a great way to pick up new equipment and if your not shure ask! theres many trappers who are willign to teach you and help you understand. a man can use good old fashin foot leather to learn animal habits travel routes knowlege of the animals we pursue is TOP. practiceign in your yard ot bed a trap even makeign blank sets on active locations in summer can help you learn trap placement lure usage location and much more just my tw cents here. the old timers john ehn herb lennon derrick o goreman morse oberto and many more did this with no internet no fancy equipment and killed THOUSANDS of coyotes each.............they didnt have the free information we do today point is get out and do it and learn hand son one on one as well as at conventions.
trial and error folks and real old fashoned first hand experience. somethgn you might look into is the trapping school siminars etc that o goreman locklear offer you pay them money but you got to spend money to make it if that your goal.
