trapping rabbits?

I'm not sure, usually when I have a bunny problem I use a Marlin size 22lr trap, seems to work every time... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smiliesmack.gif

I use a home made box trap and bait it with apples. A cage trap will also do well. If you want to make one I can post a picture of the home made box trap.

Hi Kscountryboy,
Here are a few pictures of one of my rabbit traps. Pretty easy to make, I included the size of the boards but you can make it bigger if you want to. Any scrap lumber will do. The sides, top and bottom boards are 5 ¼ inches wide. The top and side boards are 29 inches long. The bottom board is 30 inches long. I use apples for bait. Usually smear one on the front and put one in the back of the trap behind the trigger stick.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you need help.

Mountain Boomer,
I have built a TON of rabbit traps like that one but I have never seen a trap door made like that, I like it.

I always made the end of the box where it was slotted & the door just dropped straight down.
