A cat is a cat. A dog is a dog and a horse is a horse. You can take the anal glands from a ferral dog and make just as good of gland scent as you can from a coyote and the same goes for ferral cats vs bobcat or lion. My dogs will chase a cat and it does not matter what cat it is.
Now what you do with a House cat is your business, but like I said before anyone on here is smart enough to tell you not to use one. It is still against the law.
My advise to anyone trying to train a cat dog would be to go to Grawes animal lures and get you a good training scent and train your dog. Or buy you a good cat dog, you will be money ahead.
