Trijicon Accupower 1-4

Anyone have one of these? How is it?

Checking out options for a 1-4 scope and i'm liking the Accupower 1-4 for a few reasons. Distance is likely inside 300 yards and the majority inside 40 yards, and i'd likely sight in for max point blank since mostly all 1-4's are second focal. I will figure out my holdovers for 4-600 yards shots aswell.

I've considered the following:
Leupold Mark AR - firedot spr (cheap scope which I usually stay away from, I like the reticle but I'd prefer not to have uncapped turrets for hunting, not true 1X)

Leupold VX-R Patrol - firedot spr (basically the same as the mark AR with higher quality glass, same reticle, not true 1X, also has uncapped turrets. You can get the VX-R standard with capped turrets but the reticle options suck)

Vortex Viper PST 1-4, one reticle (good price, I like the reticle design but if you look at picures it's really small/fine and doesn't look useable. Scares me away, no one has one local to me so I can't check it in person. Other than the small reticle I like it, not sure how close to true 1X this one gets either.)

Trijicon accupower 1-4, RS-24 reticle (highest priced but also is very close to true 1X and the glass quality looks great. I like the reticle and it does have capped turrets. Only downside for me is the price and battery life which is a meager 31 hours on full power, everything else about it I like)

Any input is appreciated! Budget i'd like to be under $800, reticle must have some form of hash marks for reference points like the ones listed above have. For deer hunting in the north woods where shots are likely to be very close but also come across a few big cuts where a longer shot is possible.

Take a look at the Burris xtrII 1-5. I've had one for about a year and love it. You should be able to find one in your price range.

The reticles, they only offer "traditional" ones like the triangle or standard duplex for the accupoint. I'm guessing since it's tritium they don't have as much flexability.

I want something more like a BDC with holdover points like the accupower comes with. I'm in love with the trijicon RS-24 reticle at the moment.

I have a Leupold Mk AR firedot on an AR in 7.62x39, I was pleasantly surprised in how much I liked it. The fact that it's not 1x doesn't seem to bother me and the firedot is really nice. That said my next will likely be the patrol, better glass, 30mm tube, firedot. The illumination on these scopes is impressive and doesn't take a lot of battery power. The other thing I like about them is they're lighter weight than some of the other options. That said that Trijicon looks like a good option.

The Trijicon scopes are very nice scopes and the glass is of high quality. Another scopes that I would recommend taking a look at is the Sig Sauer Tango4 1-4x24. Great quality and clear.
