Trijicon AccuPower and accupoint

I have had several Accupoint scopes never an Accupower. I like the tritium for illumination. I like the glass. The 5-20 does not have enough internal adjustment 50 moa. The 4-16 has 80 moa of internal adjustment which should be good to go. I prefer a 4-16 scope. I prefer the red post over the green mil dot but have had both.

The accupoint has the tritium. The accupower is illuminated like most scopes are. I have a 4-16x50 accupower and I really like the scope I use it on my ar15 for nite hunting coyotes.

The glass in both models is the same and is pretty darn good. It's not on par with European alpha glass but IMO better than Leupold VX-3, Nikon Monarchs, Weaver Grand Slams etc.

The main difference between the Accupoint & Accupower is the reticles offered and the type of illumination of the reticle in low light or night time conditions. The Accupower also runs several hundred dollars less in price.

The Accupoint model uses tritium for illumination of the fiber optic reticle. The Accupower uses a standard CR2032 Lithium Battery.

Was at a store today I don’t get to visit often cause it’s in a town an hour away I don’t go to much and they had the accupoint 3-9x40 and 2.5-10x56. Look like nice scopes. But man is that illumination triangle tiny on the reticle. I can see where it’s nice to have it small though too. The 3-9 was $799 and the 2.5-10 was $999.

Ya I saw way better prices online on those after leaving the store. They were also high on Swaro z5 scopes. $1699 and $1799. But said they could order in a Leo VX5HD 3-15x56 for only $1079. And I haven’t seen it that cheap anywhere. Kind of odd why they’d be so high on others.
