A few weeks ago, I bought a Heavy Barreled Remmington in 222. I haven't checked the numbers, but it apears to be an older one looking at the barrel crown, stock, ect. It came with a good old Tasco and the stock was not correct but I really didn't care. I replaced the stock with a B&C Medalist and the scope with a Redfield Revenge 6x18 last week. Loaded some 40 grain BlitzKings backed with 24 grains of 8208. Seemed like a match made in gun heaven. It was busting small pieces of skeet clay birds at 200 yards with no problem at all. A guy at the range, who was busting the clays to begin with, was watching be smoke the pieces that were left and almost demanded me to sell him my rifle. He said if I ever wanted to sell it, call him first! Heck, he just ran the price of that rifle waaay up. I wonder just how bad he wants it? As for now, it ain't goin nowhere with out me.
