Then put the stink in your trap. The armadillos are attracted by two things. Worms/bugs and the smell of another armadillo. When a banana peel rots, it smells pretty close to an armadillo. I used a trap a few years ago and caught the heck out of them using banana peels. If your trap is made out of wood, leave an armadillo in it a few days for it's aroma to sink into the wood. 'Bout 3 days should do it. Make sure the animal has water and a little food so it doesn't die. You'll never catch another one in it if it dies in there.
