TT - Antler call

A few years ago, I started out building open reed calls from antler, like a few of the original call builders here. I haven't built these quite a while. Now I remember why. My shop reeks of burnt antler...

This one is a custom order for Simon.

Tony, I'm still using the one you made during the tutorial last year. I'm kind of using you, bearmanric,and Arkyyoter as call making role models but I gotta say, I love the smell of ground and burnt antler. The burning hair smell sucks but the anler smell keeps everybody away so I love it!!! Nice call Tony, you still got it!

Great looking call Tony What do you coat the outside with (is it spray on or brush on).

It is a spray lacquer. I spray everything, inside and out. I've tried a ton of different lacquers over the years. I finally settled on Rustoleum Specialty. Extremely hard, chip resistant, crystal clear, and allows your to put multiple coats on, in minutes, without clouding.
