Called in two gray's on the first stand but only able to connect with one. Then dry stand after dry stand went on for about two hours til this coon finally showed up. Had to stretch the barrel out on the 12ga. to make the 5yrd shot. I think he would have started climbing into the truck if we would have waited any longer. Then at about 11:30pm after about 15minutes of calling this cat showed up. The wind was probably blowing 20 to 25mph and he came from up wind. I see alot of guys saying that most cats sneek in and hang up. While I have had than happen, I would say about 75% of the cats I have called have come in quickly either trotting or walking at a quick pace. This one was basically in a sprint until he got about 50yds out then he stopped to evaluate the situaton and lights out. Pretty rough night overall but I have had alot worse too.
