Tula and Wolf primers

What is your opinion on primers made by these two manufacturers?
Powder Valley is having a special on these primers. I have not used them and would like to get some feedback on their quality/function.

Thanks.

I have heard good and bad!

The bad was fixed by Wolf and it was just a certain batch of them.

I'm looking to jump on the same deal if I can sneak it past the wife!

For the few $$ difference I'd just get a name brand USA primer. No worries that way. That's my thinking anyway. If they were all I could find, yes I'd try them. At the moment all types are available though.

David Tubb uses Wolf primers for in competition. I have heard that they produce low ES and SD numbers. However, the primers are slightly larger than their domestic counterparts. Therefore, if you go that route with your brass, you'll probably have to stick with them until the brass end of life.

I am going to have to agree with that. I have used them in place of match primers with seemingly good results. It will not be the only brand of primer that I buy from now on, but I certainly will keep buying them.
