turkey gobble report

I was out yesterday morning very early and the gobblers were sounding off for about 1/2 hour...this is the time in Pa they ussally starting hollering..so their right on time in these parts...

havent heard any yet. still waiting on all the snow to get out of the hollers and warm up a bit. but havent really seen any turkey sign in the woods all yr. but have seen a lot right in the middle of town. my new addition to the family is supposed to be here in about 9 more days. gotta find me some camo and ear muffs for an infant. maybe a little camo tent or something

They were gobbling and yelping all around me Saturday while I was trying to coyote hunt. Our Youth day is this Saturday then our season kicks off the next weekend.

Have been seeing alot of them in fields and along the road looking for food, still alot of snow on the ground, almost got one in the windshield this morning on the way home from coyote hunting.

Season opens in wv on April 22nd 20 more days. Gonna go out Thursday to scout a little hopefully they don't shut down before season starts. Seems like most of the time when season starts there ain't a turkey anywhere. But before season u can drive the ridge tops and hear more than u can keep track of without even using a locator. Heck the turkeys will gobble at the gravel when it makes a noise when ur driving before season.
