I have called lots of coyotes while turkey hunting. My dad was sitting with his back against a big oak, his legs stretched out in front of him, yelping sporadically when a grey fox popped around from behind him and stepped right between his outstretched legs. It was a rainy morning, and Dad never heard the fox coming, but suddenly, it was in his lap. Dad said he didn't know who was more surprised between the fox and him. I have lots of cats in my turkey timber but as far as I know, I have never called one in with hen yelping.
