When i get to were i am going i will shine the light around to see if i see anything. If i am hunting foxes i turn the call on as soon as i start calling. Coyotes i call about 5 min or so before i turn the light on. It might just be me but if i hit a coyote with a light at 150 yds he usualy wont come any closer so thats why i wait. If when i do turn the light on i hit them far out i will turn the light off and cal for few more min until i turn the light back on.
