Two new siren sound files in the MP3 format.

I like the sound of locater2.mp3 best.

Howard, a fire crew chief, sent me a couple of siren locater audio files he recorded. Fire Chiefs know siren sounds! The first (locater1.mp3) is a clear tone type and the second one (locater2.mp3) is a crank siren sound. They can be used to see if any coyotes are in the area. Coyotes will give a long howl when they hear a siren. You are welcome to download the sound files. All of the calling sounds on my page are free. Get them here:

Please let me know how they sound to you and how they work in the field. I just got them today and haven't had a chance to try them in the field yet.

Go to his page find the siren sounds(NEW). Left click to listen. To save right click then select "Save Target As" on the popdown menu and give a name then click Save.
Hope this helps.

Hey Al-

Thanks for the new sounds and a GREAT website! Your site is probably what got me interested in finding out more about predator hunting.

Hadn't seen your El Cheapo E-caller either. I think I could actually make that!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

Sorry to hear about your "allergies" /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif From the looks of things in DC, they're not going to get better anytime soon. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/angry-smiley-055.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smiliesmack.gif

Thanks GeorgiaJoe for trying to help. I tried to do the Save Target As thing and I could see it on the popdown menu but it wouldn't let me use it? Thanks anyway.

Make sure you Left click one time on the file you want to download then right click and it should give the option to "Save As".

Good luck!

How do you download the files?

Go back to my page. I have added the following info on downloading.

HAVING TROUBLE DOWNLOADING.... Assume you want to download Group Howl (group2.mp3). Here is what I suggest you try:
1. Right Click on the hot link (the underlined name of Group Howl below) of the file you want to download.
2. When the menu appears select "Save Target as..."
3. A Window will appear "Save As" and the default location is "My Documents". If you Click on the "Save" tab the sound file named group2.mp3 will be downloaded to your My Documents folder. Your hard drive now contains the file.
4. To play the downloaded file, open your My Documents folder and Double Click on the file named group2.mp3.
5. To copy the file to the clipboard, you Right Click on the file name group2.mp3 and select copy.
6. To copy the file over to your MP3 player you need to plug the cable from your MP3 player into the USB port of the computer. If you are running Windows XP a window will open and you select "Open folder to view files" and Click on OK. Put the mouse pointer inside the MP3 player's folder and Right Click. Select paste from the menu. The group2.mp3 file should then be written to Secure Digital card in your MP3 player.
