Just curious as to how many have watched and like the Underworld movies?

I have watched them all and I just finished Underworld: Rise of the Lycans.

The only down side was it didnt have Kate Beckinsale /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/angry-smiley-055.gif.

All in all it was an excellent movie, and If you havent seen it yet you should defintley check it out /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

Underworld..... I thought you were referring to Organized Crime movies... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smiliesmack.gif.... I guess that's the 'generation gap' showing up... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Most of the ones I've seen lately of your "underworld' genre' have very little plot and just a lot of gore.... I think "Ginger Snaps" was one that was the most interesting as to plot,,,, but "Ginger Snaps Back" was boring....

"Blade" was interesting for about the first half and it's sequels didn't interest me at all....

I could get more of a thrill out of an ole Lon Chaney or Boris Korlof black and white horror flick...even though the special effects were missing and the lighting was a little spotty....they were visually more stimulating...and had better plots...newer ones leave nothing to the imagination,,,or anticipation...

One of the "modern" dark movies I really got into was called "The Keep"....That had some real class as a recent (last 10-15 years) release... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

I've seen the first couple of Underworld movies, but as yet I haven't seen "Rise...".
As far as Ms. Kate not being in this newest film...that just makes sense. "Rise of the Lycans" is a prequel, not a sequel. The main female charachter [sp] is a different one than the other movies.
Selene (Kate's charachter) was turned into a vampire by Viktor & became his student.
The new female lead is actually Viktor's daughter.

While I'm not into a lot of blood & gore, these movies have enough fantasy/sci-fi to them that I can find them interesting.

+1! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

And, with me being 44, since she is like 35-36 years old she is one of the few Hollyweird total hotties that I don't feel at all guilty for looking at lustfully, lol! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

just watched the third one, it was really good.

took me till about 10 mins till the end to realize, that was the hottie FBI agent from Shooter! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smiliesmack.gif

While I've always leaned towards werewolves as the coolest classical monster, 2 question still pop in my mind-
#1- Wouldn't that be the coolest woods to hunt?
#2- What call to use? Will Foxpro be offering a crying baby/peasant mother call on the Fury?

Good Trilogy!!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

Forget you Boomy, those woods freak me out. THe whole translyvania look, and a werewolf is a predator I want nothing to do with.

BTW I also think they are the coolest monster

Tracing my family lines back as far as could be done. The Brumbaughs started in an area between Hungery and Austria. Before WWII there was a little country there. Wanna guess what it was named?.........yep Translvania was a real country prior to WWII..... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif Actually that might explain a few things, well atleast my inlaws think so /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
