upper ????????

Hey guys I know nothing about AR's I was wondering if any upper would fit on any lower. I want a 17 rem. did't know if you could get a upper and just slap it on a lower or if their is much gunsmithing involved. Thanks for the help... Mike

they fit in a standard ar mag with slight modification, single stack instead of double. they are about the same length as a .223 but ALOT bigger.....

aha. Someone told me you can't fit a .308 on an ar-15 lower. I see I've been misled

If you mean a .308 Winchester, the someone was right. You'll need to go to an AR-10 for a .308 Winchester length cartridge. There are a few shorter .30 caliber cartridges that will work on an AR-15 lower though.
