Used Foxpro Spitfire?

I am thinking about buying a used spitfire, but its two years old. Its $140, so I just want to know if I should buy it or a new one. Do the new ones have any better features or range capability or sound better? Just any reasons why or why not to buy this used one. Thanks

Go new from allpredatorcalls. $60 isn't much of a savings and you can custom pick the calls you want if you order it online. IMO, if you're gonna go used it had better be for about 1/2 the cost.

BTW, Welcome to PM!

Thanks for your input and thanks for the welcome. I figured I should probably join since I'm just starting in predator hunting.

60 bucks is 60 bucks. I've got the factory sounds on mine and it has done all I've ever asked it to. Ill bet if you offered him 120 he'd take it. Then take that 80 bucks and buy you some good mouth calls as well.

Its online, so I cannot look at it. I think he would go lower, because he has been trying to sell it for darn near a year, but since I found it another guy is interested in it too now because I posted on it and brought it to the top. Will this older call perform just as well as a new model would? That is my main question.

A spitfire is a spitfire. An older one "should" perform just as a newer one. (IF there's not something wrong with it)

If it don't, you could probably send it to FP and be out nothing but the shipping cost to get it there and they would repair it to *good as new*..

Okay. I doubt anyone cares, but thanks for actually responding to my posts. I've been on other forums where people don't respond at all.

I might offer him $100.

As for sounds, you can put what you want on it. Foxpro has a lot of free sounds on their web site as well as ones you pay for.
