Years ago I called in a coyote from three miles away doing the same thing - one loud series on the hand call and here she came, leaving a trail of dust across three flat sections of barren desert. Like K22, I killed her at about 30 yards after not making a sound after the first series. That's when I really gained some respect for these critters' hearing abilities.
