Here it is boys and girls..the website is up. We are building a championship like no other. The United States Predator Challenge will be the first contest series to span the entire US with the first contest in the western region Dec 7-8, The Eastern US championship will be the eastern leg of the event Jan 11-13, with the finals in the midwestern region Feb 1-2. The overall winners will be determined by points aquired from each regional event. To win one of the regions will be awesome, to win the overall will be unprecedented. Go to uspredatorchallenge.com, to look at the rules and to get any questions you have answered, we have some awesome sponsors coming on board, who knows Predatormasters might come along too. Each event will only be 150.00 entry fee and 100% payback after expenses. Its gonna be HUGE.

This is a great idea! My only issue is this...

Guys like myself and a few others out here in Southern/Central/Northern California are at major disadvantages with only a single check in location per zone.

Some of us MAY or MAY NOT have property that MIGHT allow us to compete for a top spot in the western states zone. BUT... an 8-12+ hour drive to the UTAH check station all but eliminates us from contention.

Maybe work in some trusted Prostaff VOLUNTEERS to man check in stations in each state during the next planning cycle.

I get that the competition is set up by people that live in Utah, just an opinion from a California guy that would like to compete but logistics make it impossible.

Although I'm not participating in the tournament I agree with you!! I'm in Massachusetts and Virginia is where the check in is, if I read the rules correctly. That's all of a 9 hour drive one way. Maybe if it is a big hit they will add more in upcoming years??

I'm not entering either, so feel free to ignore. But check in for the Worlds last year was in Utah and I think a team hunting in Texas won?

A 10 hour drive is par for the course for a lot of teams in any big contest.

Whoever wants to win this is planning on literally 10,000 miles of driving before all is said and done.

I'm not entering either. Just not interested in contests.

That said, those interested in participating and especially those who want to "win it all" will find a way to participate no matter the location...just like the worlds.

This is kind of the point of only having one check in. I am not sure the plan for this contest in the future but the worlds did move locations every couple of years. Utah guys that may or may not have had good area were at a disadvantage the last few years it was in Arizona.

You can hunt closer to check in and have more hunting time or hunt close to home and more drive time. That is part of the strategy of these contests.

Have fun out there everyone.

The checkins will move around the "Zones" in hopes some of the guys will enter when they feel its "close enough". The World shoot has turned into a [beeep] show so we are making a contest that will actually test a team that wants to prove how good they are across the country. With a mail in initial entry you can enter, start hunting from home and work your way to wherever the checkin is. No driving to initial entry, save money there. At 150.00 entry fees, half what the world is, and saving all that driving you can play without breaking the bank even if its just the hunt in your region. Ya you have to plan for the Utah checkin this year, but if you win you will take home some cash, Ruger guns and the prestige of winning the western leg of the first contest that will span the nation. In a couple years I see the western hunt checkin in Elko or down in Kingman, or over in NM somewhere. Might even end up in Wyoming. We shall see. The good thing about regions is you have to hunt in that region, if you hunt 10-12 hrs from checkin, hunt the first day at home, find a place closer to that checkin, its definately part of the game. I myself will probably hunt CA the first day, just to piss off the people that banned contest hunting in CA, Im not worried at all about the distance. The coolest part of this US Predator Challenge is we are giving for the FIRST TIME, a chance to give two guys the honor of winning the first true nation wide contest. That is reason enough to be a part of it and we are bustin arse to make sure those that win each region as well as the overall will get the recognition they deserve in the predator calling world.

Not a contest guy, but yeah thats the way I see it...checkin is where its at, you have the whole west to hunt in, plan accordingly. Some guys will always have advantage....whether its awsome public ground or behind locked gates,,,if you dont have that you gotta find your own or do your best with what you have. Serious guys are already planning. This is an adventure, not a local derby.
