It's in poor condition and looks to have a cartridge conversion cylinder in it. Anyone got any ideas, my gun bible only goes back to 1900

ETA: Taken from 25th edition of Blue Book of Gun Values which I believe was published in 2004.

There are a ton of reproduction guns out there that were roughed up to look old in an attempt to pass them off as the real deal. If you really think it's an actual Colt Walker then get an expert to evaluate it because it could be worth a ton of money. There was a guy that lives here in my town that had a great condition model that had been passed down through his family and he auctioned it off at the Julia auction for a fortune. Good luck I hope it's real!

Funny this came up. Just this weekend I was thumbing through the Oct 1952 issue of the American Rifleman, and there was some collector showing Elmer Keith "the $2400. Walker " How times have changed.

Ain't that the truth. Been hangin' on to that old Western Auto Sure Shot, single shot .22 a long time; no tellin' what it'll be worth one of these days.

Joking aside, most of the "better" firearms do appreciate in value over time.
