Video of my first guided hunt with the dog.

I finally broke down and guided a hunt with my dog. I guide folks regular during the calling and killing time of year, but have always been afraid to take my dog for fear of getting her shot. I will have to say I enjoyed it. You can tell on the video I think Andy did too. He ended up killing 10 in 3 mornings. Got rained out every afternoon while he was there. I think Andy liked the dog action, and he stayed in control and is welcome back anytime.

Thanks gents, Andy was shooing a 6.5 Creedmoor, I think it was a Tikka. He was like me when I first started killing coyotes and shot behind the shoulder. By the end of the trip he was breaking them down through the shoulder. Hard habit to break.

He went 10 for 10 with no runners. I think 150 was the farthest shot on the whole trip. Most were under 70 yards. We have one clip the coyote and Andy are in the same shot. It was about 10 feet away.

Great video!

Good shooting and filming!

That is some pretty country, it's hard for me to believe it is that green where you are hunting at.

Around here we only have green grass in January through March.

Very nice video and dog work. I unfortunately don't have a coyote dog but it always amazes me how the coyotes interact with dogs.

Thanks guys, I have 4 or 5 clips from this trip on YouTube. Im still working on the best stand. Ive not posted it yet. Had one super close (10 feet) and very mad at the dog. Ill share it when I get it loaded.

Bob, we are almost always green. Kansas does get a little dead looking late winter. We struggled with tall grass and weeds a little on this trip. You need to come down and Ill show you some mad coyotes.

Hey Jeff.....nice video!!!

Hey Eddie, how you been? I dont get around on the web as much as I use too. Good to hear from you.

Ole Spot is like me, she is getting old, fat, lazy and sometimes irritable. Like me, she is not as flashy as she once was. She can still get to done though. I think it kinda bothers her when I have to help her up on the tailgate to get in the box.
