Vmax vs The Varmint Grenade

Any opinions on these two loads for the .243? The Vmax is 50fps faster in the Hornady Varmint Express than the Black Hills loaded Varmint Grenade. The Grenade weighs in at 62 grains and the Vmax at 58.
Thanks for any, and all, help

50fps amounts to nothing as far as real world effects on game go.

Choose the one that is most accurate and take that to the field with you.

I have no experiance with these bullets in .243 but keep this in mind. I found the 55grn V-max's to be a marginal coyote round, to many splashes on front shoulder/leg shots. The V grenade is a mush more explosive bullet, and while I havn't seen the results with my own eyes, I'm told they perform much worse on coyotes then the V-max's do.

If the V Max's shoot well, Id try the Nosler Ballistic tip. Although I dont have a .243 I use them in my .223 and see a marked improvement over the V Max of the same weight. For ground squirrels I enjoy the V Max but the BT's have put the Coyotes down with more authority. Good luck.

I dont hear much bragging about the VG's and alot of guys here in Cali are forced to shoot them.

I havn't tried the VG's but my SPS varmint loves the 58 grain V-Max Hornady factory load. I've great results with them and even shot a couple of deer with them, head and neck shots only on deer though.

Thanks guys, think I'll stay with the Noslers. I havent had much of a chance to test accuracy yet, just looking for some ammo
