Vocal Coyotes

I have been out in the shop late every night and have heard coyotes howl every night for the last week.I hear alot of yipping and squalling,I know that there is a den less than a mile from here and I think the pups are just starting to come out of the den.

I suspect what you’re hearing is the alpha male being welcomed back from the hunt to feed the alpha female in her den. As we all know coyotes are very vocal and their social ties are very strong.

It’s always nice to hear God’s dog singing its’ song....
