Volume on PM3 & PM4?

Is the volume the same in the Preymaster 3 and the Preymaster 4? I have seen in some places the PM4 has a decibal level of 100dB and in other places it is 110+dB. Which is it and how many decibals is the PM 3? Or ere they the same?

Just a guess on my part, but I believe the PM4 is going to be louder. Just from reading their specs and such on their site ,the fact that they give you a db rating on the PM4 tells me they are proud of the sound. Ive seen some posts around that ask how to amplify the PM3. Id like to think Johnny Stewart took that into consideration along with the wireless side. Unfortunately, this is a very new product, so there may be very very few out in use at this point, unless there are some insiders on this site.

I have the PM 4 and the volume is louder than the PM 1 I had. I do wish it was louder for crow hunting but a little help with the mouth calls gets them pointed in the right direction and the caller finishes it off.
I call in mostly 50 to 100 yard openings in woodlots and some field edges for fox and it's fine for me.

Well if they really are rated at 110db, then their pretty freaking loud. I'm looking at buying one after season here. Remote unit, with any JS sound you want for under 200$, sounds like a hell of deal to me, at least beats the hell out of paying 400 plus.

I have a PM-4 & its way louder than I need it to be. I had it up on high one time. It was loud & clear, but just too loud for calling fox in my hunting locations.

The Preymaster PM-3 digital caller is NOT wireless/remote controlled; producing 104 decibels, via .5 watt amp board and 15 watt speaker, effective out to 1/4 mile under normal conditions; and the 1/8th speaker jack is compatible with most playback devices.
All Preymaster sounds are digitally re-mastered and the best on the market! Really!! Each sound plays for 60 seconds and two sounds can be played in tandem. Hunter's Specialties has phased out the Power Pro Convert-A-Caller, Preymaster Power Pro Combo, the 612-LR Deluxe Professional Caller and many cassette tapes from the Johnny Stewart line.
The new PM-4 Wireless Preymaster Digital Caller offers continual play, reaching a 110 decibles (1/2 mile calling range) and wireless remote control out to 250 yards later (depending on conditions and terrain), with MSRP around $200. All sounds are digitally re-mastered and the best on the market, using the original Preymaster Digital Memory Cards!
