I am in the process of getting me a AR-15, which hasn't arrived yet, but last weekend I purchased a Vortex 4 x 12 x 40 BDC which arrived today. I searched the web for product reviews and read enough comments about Vortex scopes to take the chance to trying one out. I also found an article in American Hunter mag which seemed vary favorible too.
I own a pair of Nikon scopes and one of the new Redfield scopes, which I am happy with all three. This Vortex scope does have a very clear picture throughout the magnification range just like the article in American Hunter said. The view is just as clear if not clearer than my Monarch on my Rem 700.
I think I will be pleased with this scope once its mounted on the AR. Good warranty.
