Vortex crossfire scope

Is anyone using them? Im looking at getting a 3-9x40 with the vbrite illuminated dot to put on my windham weaponry ar15 to use for night hogs and coyotes. It looks pretty promising for that and i know vortex scopes are nice. I dont expect it to be as good as thee viper i have on my 243 but i figured for a simpler set up that wont require spinning turrets it should work good.. Anyone with experience with them or other similar illuminated scopes in the same price range feel free to chime in with suggestions. Id love a high dollar scope fancy scope for it but that isnt in the budget
 
i have the scope you are looking at and love the clarity of the glass but not a big fan of the illuminated reticle because when you turn it on it seens to cloud the scope with the color of the dot but other wise love the scope. just my opinion.
 
i love it when its not illuminated, very easy to get on target. I even took my battery out so the light would never come on.
