vortex crossfire?

Yep..... I've used a 6X24 Vortex Crossfire on three rifles and used it for more than a year. I've shot well over 500 rounds with it on a 270, about 250 rounds on an '06 and over 300 on a 22-250. It has functioned perfectly. It holds zero with absolutely no issues. It hasn't been "babied" at the range or in the field...

I purchased the scope on a special SWFA sale for just $99 dollars and I don't believe I've purchased a scope in that power range that I've liked so much, even those at considerably more money.

The glass is surprisingly bright and clear although not quite to the high optic level of their much more expensive Diamondback or Viper lines. My Vortex scope has been used often in extreme weather conditions (very warm to very cold to warm again) without fogging or failure.

When the almost unmatchable Vortex lifetime, fully transferable (even to subsequent owners without a receipt), no questions asked warranty is included in the equation they become irresistible, IMHO....

I'd have to add that the 6-24 scope has limited usage in a typical varmint hunting environment (too much power and an inadequate FOV for moving critters). A 2-7, 3-9 or possibly a 4-12 Vortex Crossfire would be an excellent "best-bang-for-the-buck" scope, IMHO.....

You've gotta check them out, hands on, to truly appreciate Vortex's high quality for the price...

I did and I was convinced!!

While I am a huge Vortex fan (Viper, Viper PST series) I am skeptical of lower cost optics on any rifle with a serious kick to it. It is just not usually able to withstand the abuse over time IME. Many have never suffered the same issues that I must have with lower cost optics. Vortex warranty and CS are second to no one in the optics industry today. Check out some of the larger optics forums and see what people are saying about Vortex and their quality. They are really executing and making optics that shooters are asking for these days. they respond to their customers inputs and have been very proactive to bring these products to market. Can't really go wrong with any of their optics.

I did have a good friend that had two issues with a Crossfire and Vortex stepped him into a Viper for a very fair price a couple of years ago. He is extremely happy with everything and especially the way that he was treated by them.

I recently purchased a Vortex crossfire in 3x9 and got the chance to test it out today. It seems like a nice scope for the pricetag. Definitely not top of the line but I didn't pay a bunch for it either.
