Vortex Scopes
Have any of you used the new Vortex Diamondback 4X12X40 scopes?

I read up on it in the NRA mag this month. I really don't like no-name low budget scopes, but they about have me convinced these are quality scopes.

If any of you have had experience with these--good or bad-- please let me know.

The glass is suprisingly clear on their scopes. Most likely will be my next scope, besides can't beat that warranty.
 
Myself and my hunting partner both have the razor binos.
Can't say enough good about them. His fogged during three solid days of rain while elk hunting this year. He called them and was told to send them in. He recieved a new pair the day after he shipped the originals. Thats what I call a warranty!! Not to many outfits that will put the replacement in the mail before seeing whats up.

I bought on last year for my 300 win mag to use for long distance shooting. I also had it up on kodiak island in october and it took a real beating and still is sighted in . I would not hesatate to buy another.

I don't have the Diamond Back, but I do have the Viper in the same power as was listed in the original post. The Viper is their top end model. I will say it is very clear and sharp edge to edge. This is the first season I've had it and it will be getting a serious work out this winter. I will know better what I think of it by March/April. Expect to see a review article written about it at longrangehunting.com.
