Vortex viper hs lr

I really like mine, I would rate the zero stop as "decent". They use shims for the zero stop, you just keep adding shims until it stops as close to zero as possible. You'll probably get it to stop within a few minutes of zero, just set it up so it stops a few minutes past zero and then turn it the few minutes it takes to zero.

I put one on my Grendel with a NF 20moa mount and had to order some extra shims to get mine to work out.

I just got one mounted and shot with it for the first time on Wed. I got the Vortex Viper HS 4-16 x44 LR. I really like the scope. I feel like I did a lot of research before I bought and everyone I spoke to raved about the scopes. Many prefer the Vortex over Leupold for the money. I don't know enough about scopes to have an educated opinion on that but I have taken many others word for it as it came from multiple sources. Haven't tried my zero stop yet but don't anticipate problems.

I have the 4-16x44 HSLR mounted on a Howa 7mm RM. I love it. The glass is crystal clear, good eye relief and the adjustments are right on. I have yet to use the rifle on a hunt so I cannot comment on low light conditions but in the backyard at sunset they are bright. I like the target turret for elevation but will be adding a custom turret once my handloads are finalized. Best price I found was Doug at Cameraland. At my door for under $500
