I own the bino's and don't think I could have done better for twice the money. I believe they are a solid value in optics.

I have been looking at one they have at a local Police supply and really like the way it looks. Just don't want to spend good money for bad optics.

That was going to be my next purchase until DD came up with an 8-32x Burris Black Diamond for sale at a price I couldn't refuse...

I got to handle Vortex's full line of binos, spotters, and rifle scopes at the NRA meeting in St Louis a couple years ago and was highly impressed with the quality...I just wish they found the need for producing a 32x rifle scope...

Can't speak for the scope as I've never seen one, but I can for the company. I purchased one of their lower end binos a couple years ago and love them. I haven't seen a better pair of binos at the $200 price point.

I also called Vortex and asked about the VIP Lifetime Warranty. I was told they would fix or replace them regardless of the problem as long as you could send them in. I was told that if they fell out of my truck driving down the road and they got run over 3 times they would still take care of it. Fortunatly they have been flawless and I haven't needed to use the warranty.

I have two pairs of Vortex Binos and I believe you can't beat the quality at twice the price.
I liked the binos so well I decided to try the 6.5-20x50 PA rifle scope it is a great scope bright and clear and good looking.
I like the side focus too.
I think it is a great all around scope and super quality for the $ spent.
I did have the opportunity to use the Vortex VIP warranty.
I dropped my 12x50 Vulture Binos and broke the eye piece.
I sent them to Vortex with a note explaining that I did this and would gladly pay for repairs.
I had them back in my hands in 5 days repaired and at no charge.
They aren't kidding about the VIP warranty.

I will echo the same advice as others have, nice glass for the money, and have heard great things about their customer service. I also hear that they are coming out with a tactical scope to be released this fall. Give Scott Berish at Liberty Optics a call, he has a solid reputation for service and his prices are very competitive.

Rickinmo- If ya don't mind me askin, how many pesos did you have to pay for your Viper? I can get one for $449.00 and tax. I saw them in Mid-way and they were about $20. higher.

I have one, and it is pretty good for the money, but if you hold it side by side with a nikon, burris or ntfc you can tell the glass isnt as good and clear. I dont care for the eye relief either. Otherwise it has been good so far took out some pds @400+ with it. I just aquired a NTFC so the viper will be mounted on a less used rifle for now.

I'm afraid I can't offer much more than has been said. The main reason for my post is that Vortex is offering a $50.00 rebate straight from the factory. If you go to the Vortex website, you'll see it there.

I recently purchased a Viper 6.50 - 20 X 44 PA, with side mounted parallax adjustment. I have it mounted on an AR 15 carbine. I haven't sighted (fine tuned) it in yet, but all appears excellent.

There are many things that impress me about this scope. The main thing (so far) is the build quality. This scope is really built heavy duty. It appears it could take a lot of abuse, and come out in fine shape.

I have a Leupold 6.5 - 20 X 40 long range with 30 mm tube mounted on a 20" AR rifle. I have killed many, many PD's with this set up. The reason I bring this up is because the Leupold visually appears to be a lightweight build compared to the Vortex. Don't get me wrong, I love the Leupold with the varmit hunters reticle, it's just a lighter weight build than the Vortex.

If the Vortex shoots anywhere close to the Leupold, I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one, as long as their price structure remains close to what it is now.

I called the factory twice with questions about the Viper, and was treated with nothing but the utmost courtesy. They didn't try in the least to hurry and get me off the phone, so they could move on to the next call.

Within the next month I should have it field tested thoroughly, and will report back on the results !!!!

The only complaint I have so far is that the Viper is HEAVY. But of course anything built that heavy -duty, is bound to have a weight increase.

AS I said if the Viper shoots anywhere close to the Leupold, I will have found my new scope of choice. At their prices, I just don't see how you can beat it with another brand. I'll report back in about a month with the range results.

Hope this info helps you in your decisions.

Hangtime.
