Doing most of my night hunting solo now so I need one and can't decide. I know there are alot of EWT fans on here but would like to hear from someone that has used both. I really like the scope mount on the VRL and I dont plan on using the remote switches. Thanks.
 
I have the vrl-1 and like it alot can't say anything about the kill light 250. I have and nd-3 I like the vrl-1. The mount is as solid as they come plus you get red and green leds. I have been told that the housing for both are close to the same just vrl-1 has better internals and mounts. Also have been told the leds are interchangable. I could have been misinformed or misunderstood. I did take my first Yote with it the first night I took it out. Good luck with whatever you decide.
 
First off the mount in the nd3 is junk and moves second I was sold an original nd3 being told that would work for me. I hunt in Illinois and it gets cold so I needed the sub zero model. My nd3 woulded even light in temps below 60° I called they said send it back along with $10 keep in mind this thing was about a week old. Then the guy proceeds ti tell me you should just buy the subzero model. I said no you asked where I hunt and how and said this will be good. I still am waiting for them to either fix it or send me a new one because when I told him the problems I was having he said that isn't right sounds like you may have gotten a defective unit. I sent it in the beginning of November with no word yet. Nd3 only has green to my knowledge as well. My vrl-1 one come with both green and red leds charger house and car two batteries and a few different mounts, and it hasn't failed me yet. Oh and the price of nd3 out crazy. Once u get mine back from the factory it may be for sale haven't decided yet. If I sell it I am putting that money towered NV. You won't be disappointed with the vrl-1 light [beeep]. I believe they are built somewhere down there in Texas, Austin maybe.
