Most walker dogs are very friendly, if treated right from a puppy.  If you get one that hasn't been worked with much or always left on a chain and the only time he sees anyone is just feeding time, he'll probably be timid and not real playful.  They love getting played with as much as the kids like playing with them.  I'm sure they wouldn't be the best in the house though, they would rather be outside.  But I believe walkers would make great pets as well as hounds.   MOyotehunter
