Howdy yall, i just saw the Tech page and i was wondering how hard is it to make that e caller? i have a few questions too...

1) How much is an amp for one-i want to hunt predators and snow geese. What size do i need?
2) MP3 or CD? can you download MP3's from your computer like a CD? Where is a good place to purchase the CD or MP3 player?
3) Can you add an adaptor for 2 speakers..like for snow goose hunting? if so, can you add say an extra 50' of cord for each?

Thanks for any help...Pintail

Hey pintail, I used the manaska amp available through allpredatorcalls.com I also picked up my speaker there, the amp has two speaker jacks and is rechargable. I used a mp3 player and it sounds great, also has a ton of volume. I picked up the mp3 player at wal-mart but you can get em on ebay dirt cheap.

Cable is a 6 footer from Radio Shack. I have about $150 invested in these callers.

Cost of Goods for unit shown above:
[*]Energizer Outfitter flashlight (discontinued, ebay) $16.99
[*]Audio Isolation Transformer - Radio Shack #273-1374 $3.99
[*]Red LED w/ integrated resistor - Radio Shack #276-270 $1.99
[*]Pocket Speaker/Amplifier - Radio Shack #277-1008 - $12.99
[*]4 AA Battery holder (to repackage audio amp in) - Radio Shack #270-409 $1.89
[*]Nady 151 VRLT Wireless Mic - Buy.com - $79.99
[*] 9.6V 1600mAH RC Battery pack & Charger - Radio Shack #230-0432 $24.99
[*] 9.6V RC battery connector - Radio Shack #230-0445 - $2.99
[*] Speco SPC-5P 5" 12W PA Horn - Lashen Electronics - $8.42
[/list]

Total: $154.24 (not including shipping and taxes)
Not included (as I already owned) is the sound source. I like the MP3 player (portable, no moving parts), but a CD player or otherwise can be plugged in.

Dropthehammer,

Good job.

Another point about CD's. It is a snap to transfer those CD sounds over to MP3 with your 'puter.

Three 44s

What type of MP3 do I need? What features does it need?

I know nothing about electronics. I plan to start out without the wireless microphone part.(until I find a deal on one) Can someone tell me how to wire it this way. I have everything else.
