Starting out and haven't got much cash to put out ive got some traps #3 ,1 3/4 , home made snares and even an skinning knife . Iv made some rebar stakes and dont like them so i made ground anchors. Ill post pics later but what are someways to save money? Bait/ traps/ swivels.

Building your own snares helps, keep all of your animal glands and you can make your own lure, it's tough to save money at first but you will find ways, use poly fill under your pan.

Ditch the cotton balls my friend, go get some polyfill trust me I have been down this road, the cotton balls absord water like a sponge then they freeze. You can make a good all around lure just by grindig up some beaver meat and grind up the castors with it, add a little sodium benzonate and glycerin and your good to go.
