Forgive me for asking such an obviously difficult question to answer, but what would a ballpark figure be for a early 70’s and moderately used example be? No way to know how many rounds have been put down the barrel, but let’s say it was 800-1000.

I am having no luck searching the interwebs for an answer.

A local gun store just took my Weatherby Vanguard S2 in 7mm Rem Mag for $375. Don't know if that helps you, mine had about 160rds through it. I bought it right at the time they came out with the 2 stage trigger.

Kinda hard to put value on a sight un-seen rifle. Of course condition will determine a lot in the value. Being 270, doubt its seen 800-1000 rounds fired. That's a lot for a hunting rifle IMO. Just a WAG,$350-$400. Maybe a little more?????

Thanks for the help guys,I appreciate it.

pyscodog, I only guessed the number of rounds possibly fired based on maybe thirty rounds a year for thirty years. The guy that owned it reloaded, so I am guessing he shot it a little more than someone who bought factory ammo might have.
