Weaver classic extreme

I have purchased a bunch of Weaver Classics and used them hard. They have been great beyond a couple weaknesses that money would solve.
I believe the new extreme models may be made in the Philippines to keep cost down. A few other makers have done this like Voertex and Burris.
Generally my rifles have pretty good scopes, Leupold or Zeiss with Weavers on the rimfires/pellet guns that take a beating.

BSS, I've had 4 of the Classic Extreme's, 3-8x32 & 1-6x24. I don't have one now because I upgrade to the Sightron SIII's made in Japan. I used all my Weaver's on varmint rifles, nothing larger than 220 Swift, so I don't know how they are with recoil. For the money I thought they were pretty good scopes, way better than Vortex. The only downsides I would say they have is on my 8x32 over 24x the tend to not be as clear as lower power, the eye relief is kind of unforgiving, & the side focus is real touchy. It's a good looking scope & for the money I think a good buy.

Thanks for the info guys. The recoil on the gun is what makes me wonder how weaver would hold up. I better just stick to a better scope likemzeiss

I have 3 of them. Two are made in Japan and the third was made in the Philippines.

The first was a 3 x 10. When I got it I compared it to my Leupolds and a Zeiss Divari. It was way sharper than the Leupolds and about equal to the Zeiss. I purchased a second one that was made in Japan and it was equal to the first.

I eventually purchased a 4 x 16 that was made in the Philippines. I have never compared it to another scope but I would have to say it is sharp and clear.

BTW they are fantastic in low light.

It will hold up fine. I had a weaver on a 7mm Rem Mag and that's pretty close if not just a little more recoil. I was steady as a rock. I have always found Weaver to have the most accurate and dependable clicks and repeatably too.
