Weaver vs. Leupold RF Scope

I have narrowed it down to two scopes for a new Cooper 22LR I just bought.

The first is the Leupold Compact 3X9 w/EFR AO.

The second is a Weaver Rimfire Special. 3X9 with an AO.

I realize the Weaver is over $100 less than the Leupold. Leaving the money out of the picture. Who has any experience with these two scopes.

I would consider another brand. Buy do not want to lower my standards. Tom.

I have a VR-7 2.5x7 Weaver Rimfire hscope on my 22 Hornet and it is very nice, clear to thedges and tracks very well. I've heard the Weaver 3x9 is even nicer than the 2.5x7

I like Sightron scopes. But that is way too much scope for what I want. Too big and definitely more power than I need. I really would like a 2X7, but they don't have that with EFR.

That Sightron would look like a monster on the light weight 57 Cooper. Tom.

I don't have the Leupold 3x9 but I do have the Leupold 2.5x7 and love it. Very nice scope. That said I do have a Weaver rimfire on my short list. I don't think you could go wrong with either one. They are both solid.

I have used both and both are decent for the money. The Leupy has better eye relief. The Weaver has click adjustments.

I have been interested in the Clearidge scope Jon mentioned and would not hesitate to try one out. If I do buy another rimfire, that is what I will go with....

I've got 2.5-7x Weavers on my CZ's, I like them a lot but I'm gonna get a Leupy 4x gloss for the American. I think they are the perfect size for a 22 and they look and work great on them.

I bought the Leupold 3X9X33 with the LRF. I think that ws the best choice. You guys might be right about a Clear Ridge scope. I honestly do not know. But I do know that I am not willing to try an unknown. Not when I know that Leupold will make a great scope for the Cooper. I also bought it from the place 2-much recommended. Their price was slightly higher than a place I had found it on sale for, but they matched the price, and I got the matte I wanted instead of the high gloss scope. And the duplex on the matte scope is finer than the duplex on the high gloss scope, and I prefer that. Tom.
