I'd like to introduce myself to those that don't know me.
I started a life long love affair with firearms when I received a Daisy Red Rider for Christmas when I was 6 years old.

I was trained as a machinist in the US Navy. Later went to New Mexico State University, studied engineering. I built my first rifle at the age of 26 it was a 25-06 on a Mauser action (it was a wildcat back then) using equipment own by a local gunsmith. I found something I really liked, so I wasn't happy till I got my hands on a South Bend lathe, that was 1966, By 1971 I was building super accurate bench rest rifles. Three world records have fallen to rifles I've built. In 1980 I got interested in machine guns and applied for a class 2 manufacturers licence and an 07 firearms manufacturers licence, so I could make machine guns and sound suppressors. I gave up the class 2 in 2005 as the laws are too restrictive on NFA controlled firearms. I am currently having my web site rebuilt and am no longer taking orders for match grade rifles. This will allow me to concentrate on varmint grade rifles, both bolt and AR's, which is what I want to build. That is not to say my standards will change at all, just that rifles will go thru the system much faster. I have some quality help, but I still do all the chamber work myself. Furthermore, I'm getting old (64) and need to slow down a little. I've built well over 7500 firearms in my short career. Below is a couple of pictures of some.

This what a Remington blued 700 action looks like after its been machine straightened. Its hard to really see clearly, but everything that looks like bare metal has been machined.

You have put up a lot of good posts and advice thanks for that. Now the million dollar question is how much does one of those custom sweeties cost$$$$$$$$$$? PM me if you don't want to post it. Lets just say the light 1000 yardd rifle.
