Hey fella's, I'm sure this has been asked numerous times but, I was wondering what the word in the hills is about the Western Rivers Apache caller. Pro's and Cons.

Thanks in advance.

I really like mine. It has a long range with the remote (250 yards). It can turn on both or one speaker. The sound is good for most usage, but the power ranger amp is better if your going to use it for crows, geese, ducks.

It came with 400 calls, (including an elephant call on there lol) and they are editable on your pc, meaning you can remove or add what you need off the main unit. There is 512mb of memory. The remote can jump 1 or 10 calls at a time. The screen is like a green glow on both the remote and the main unit. Its water resistant (says waterproof but..) There is a plug in for a decoy It has a 5 year warranty

Its about 3/4 the size of a loaf of bread and came in a plastic carrying case.

The Bad. I had to replace the battery pack on both the unit and the Ranger amp ($2 from radio shack). Also the Ranger wires to the battery packs are too short, its a royal pia to change the batteries, I just soldered in 6" extensions on mine to save the grief. With after thought, it took longer to put in the battery pack without the extension than it took to solder in the wires!
