What Ah for a 6V battery?

I've got a 6V spotlight. What Ah do I need for a 6V battery? Will a 6V 10Ah battery last all night? Or for $5 more should I get the slightly heavier/larger 6V 14Ah battery? Thanks.

The highter the Amp hour the Longer the battery will last...

1.5 Amp hour or less is Ideal for a 6 volt battery...charging over that amount will shorten battery life and run times....

stiff neck, you've given us about 2/3 of what we need to know.
Bulb voltage and battery capacity.

Can you provide actual current draw or a wattage rating? Anything additional?

Simply stated, a battery amp/hour rating is nothing more than how much current it can deliver in one hour.

If teh 6 volt bulb draws 1 amp of current the 10 ah battery would power it for 10 hours, the 14 ah battery for 14, etc...
If it draws 2 amps the the times would be 5 hours and 7.

Just shooting from the hip, get the 14 Ah.

Stiff neck - I did a bit of searching and found both a hand held "Mighty Max" and hat version - with two totally different power consumption ratings.
Which do you have?

Did yours come with any sort of battery or have you picked up the light by its' self?

If you have the hat version from the ratings that I found the 10 AH battery ought to give you about 8 hours of burn time. I haven't found any definative ratings on the handheld but did fins some rough numbers that would indicate that it is going to run down that saame battery in about 1/2 that time.

What do you have available for a charger?

I have the Mity Max 6V handheld spotlight. I'm going to hook it up to a 6V 12Ah SLA battery, and charge it with a wall charger w/float mode.
