what are you using to carry your foxpro in the field??

first I tried using a fanny pack but found that its too heavy to carry very well in a fanny pack, lately I have been just sticking the remote in my pocket and holding the main unit in one hand, keep in mind I have a rifle slinged, a butt pad with a sling on the other shoulder and a pair of shooting sticks in one hand, it would be nice if foxpro made a padded zippered fitted case that would zip around the main unit kinda like leupold has for their spotting scopes and I would not worry so much about banging it around. are there any better solutions

I had Guywildstorm make me a lanyard for my remote and a sling for the foxpro. It works great I never leave the remote and the sling makes it nice to hang it in a tree or tall sage. As for a bag I really like yoters den bags just havent coughed up the money for one.

I use a lunch bag I got from outdoor life for renewing membersship and it has a strap to put over your shoulder , any lunch bag with a strap from wally world would work . I also put it in my back pack sometimes.

I just put a nylon strap through the loops at both ends of the handle and carry it over my shoulder if I'm not carrying a pack. Otherwise it is in my eberlestock pack.

A diaper bag. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif Dont laugh, all my calls, and spare batteries fit in it,even has seperate zippered compartment that remote fits in. And after I sit my e-caller out I set the bag in front of me and my hand calls are all tucked in side pouches, mouthpeice up,so I can choose a new one quickly. Its green canvas with tan leather so it blends in well.
Besides its an Eddie Bauer...tactical edition! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Reese's XC FoxPro Sling.. Check them out on Loren's website or our later today.

As far as comfort is concerned, they really are the only way to go.

It won't help with banging it around and protecting it though.. All of my units need a new paint job after the season is over.

I made my own lanyard using para cord--used the same patterns as my call lanyards. I have a separate lanyard for the remote.

FoxPro lanyard also works when you have to hang it from something as well!

I bought a padded camera bag from wal mart to keep my Foxpro stuff in. I used the shoulder strap that was supposed to be on the camera bag on my FX5 using a couple key rings.

It's true that Necessity is the Mother of Invention.

Sorry but I can't help but chuckle a little bit on this one.

But dads are sometimes at the bottom of the totem pole when it comes to distrubting the household funs. Babies come first then momma and then finally dad bringing up the rear. That's family life.

At least it's an Eddi Bauer Edition and it's not pink!

I just bought a Foxpro FX3 unit and the two differnt types of chargers and I am looking for a good carrying case to keep all the stuff together. Foxpro sells a carrying bag that should work ok but I wanted to check out other ideas too. Might have to buy something that's less expensive than the foxpro bag. I need to save my money too.
